PHOENIX — A man was arrested Friday evening for allegedly shooting a 16-year-old fast-food restaurant worker in the head after an altercation in Phoenix on Thursday night, authorities said.
The Phoenix Police Department said they were called to the area near 19th and Glendale avenues around 8 p.m. and learned an employee was involved in a verbal argument with one of the customers at the drive-thru window.
The suspect, identified as Theotis Polk, 27, walked up to the window and fired through it with a handgun, striking the teen inside, according to police.
The teen was taken to the hospital where he remains in critical condition, police said.
Following the shooting, Polk entered the vehicle through the passenger side and fled the scene, police said.
He faces six charges, including aggravated assault.
A $500,000 bond has been set while Polk awaits his next scheduled court appearance on Friday.
