Electric bike rider dies in Phoenix hit-and-run collision

PHOENIX – Police in Phoenix said a man riding an electric bicycle was killed in a hit-and-run collision early Friday.
The Phoenix Police Department said in a press release Stanley Fischer was struck near the Arizona Canal between Glendale and Northern avenues around 1:30 a.m.
The 54-year-old was heading east and fell over while crossing 12th Street. Police said he was trying to get up when a red two-door car going north hit him.
The driver left the scene, turning east onto Wagon Wheel Drive.
Fisher was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
