PHOENIX — Teaming with Daisy Mountain Fire and Medical, the Town of Cave Creek Fire Department is set to have its grand opening on Jan. 3, and the public is invited to celebrate the launch.

The launch will be from 7:30 to 11 a.m. with the first call from dispatch coming at 8 a.m. to officially welcome the fire department to the community, according to a press release.

Following two wild fires in May of 2020, the Town of Cave Creek was encouraged by neighboring jurisdictions to increase fire protection and services.

The Town of Cave Creek Council Members voted to obtain a property located on Cave Creek Road to be used as the town’s fire department on Aug. 16, according to the release.

On Nov. 9, 11 new Daisy Mountain fire fighters graduated to help staff the Cave Creek facility.

Cave Creek and Daisy Mountain District entered a long-term agreement on Dec. 6 to provide these emergency services for the future.

The fire department will be known as Cave Creek Station No. 1 or Daisy Mountain Fire Station No. 147.

We want to hear from you.
