PHOENIX – The most expensive ZIP code for homes in Arizona is now the 50th most expensive postal zone in the country.
Paradise Valley’s 85253 moved into the top 50 nationwide for the first time after years as the state’s priciest ZIP code, according to a recent report from real estate website PropertyShark.
Home prices in 85253 went up by 41% in the past year to a median of $2,175,000. Though it’s not included in this report, a Paradise Valley mansion in 85253 was listed just last month for $22.5 million.

No other Arizona ZIP code made PropertyShark’s top 100.
Six of the top 10 spots are in California, with 94027 in the Bay Area town of Atherton at No. 1 for the fifth consecutive year, reaching a record median price of $7,475,000.
The No. 2 spot, 02199 in Boston, was nearly $2 million behind the leader at $5.5 million.
PropertyShark used residential deals closed between Jan. 1 until Oct. 22 of this year to compile its list.
