PHOENIX — The city of Gilbert was recently ranked as one of the best places to be in across the nation for Halloween this year, according to a personal finance website.
WalletHub compared 100 of the most populated U.S. cities across three metrics, evaluating trick-or-treater friendliness, Halloween fun and Halloween weather.
Each metric was graded on a 100-point scale, with a score of 100 representing the most favorable conditions to celebrate Halloween.
Gilbert came in at No. 15 on the list with a total score of 55.97.
While Gilbert was given a low ranking for “Halloween fun,” the East Valley city was ranked No. 12 on the list in the nation for “trick-or-treater friendliness.”
Additionally, the city ranked at No. 1 for lowest crime rate and No. 17 for favorable Halloween weather.
Cities that took the honor in cracking the top 10 were New York City, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Miami, San Francisco, Boston, San Diego, Santa Ana, San Jose and Orlando.
Several other Arizona cities ranked on WalletHub’s list, but notably lower than Gilbert.
Chandler came in at No. 41, Mesa ranked at No. 48 and Tucson at No. 50.
But Phoenix ranked the lowest on that list, coming in at 63rd in the nation.
