1 man dead, teen in custody following Phoenix shooting

PHOENIX — Police are investigating the death of a man who was shot in Phoenix Monday evening, authorities said.
Officers responded to a shooting call near 35th and Dunlap avenues and found a man who had been shot, the Phoenix Police Department said in a press release.
The man, identified as Roberto Juan Taylor-Vargas, was taken to the hospital in extremely critical condition and was later pronounced dead.
Police arrested a 17-year-old boy who had been on the scene and booked him into the Juvenile Corrections Center for murder.
No additional information was made available.
