Police arrest 20-year-old suspect in Scottsdale Holiday Inn shooting

PHOENIX — A suspect has been arrested for his alleged involvement in the shooting of a man at a Scottsdale Holiday Inn last week, authorities said.
Avinady Juarez Gonzalez, 20, was booked on assault and weapons charges.
Police responded to reports of a shooting on Oct. 11 around 3 a.m. near Hayden Road and Princess Drive and found Ramon Alvarez shot once in the abdomen.
Alvarez was taken to a local hospital and remained in the Intensive Care Unit as of Thursday night.
Authorities said the shooting stemmed from an argument that happened in a parking lot next to the Holiday Inn.
No other information was made available.
