PHOENIX — Cigna Medical Group has opened the doors of a new health care center at SkySong in Scottsdale, allowing patients to access multiple services in one place.
“Cigna Medical Group has been serving individuals and families in Scottsdale and the Greater Phoenix area for 50 years and we are excited to open a new health care center within the SkySong development,” Matthew Bennett, president of Cigna Medical Group, said in a press release on Monday.
“The center is in a convenient location and is a beautiful, comfortable space with large exam rooms, a spacious lobby and, most importantly, a team of skilled, caring and compassionate professionals who are ready to serve current and new patients.”
The nearly 9,000-square-foot medical office on the southeast corner of McDowell and Scottsdale roads includes eight exam rooms, separate treatment and procedure rooms, an onsite pharmacy as well as a virtual exam room patients can use for specialists and clinicians that are located in a different office.
The health care center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and offers family and adult medicine, diabetes care and laboratory services, according to the release.
It is the first medical office at the mixed-use development.
“We are very pleased to welcome Cigna Medical Group to SkySong and add their dynamic health care leadership to the environment,” Sharon Harper, chairman and CEO of Plaza Companies, the master developer of SkySong, said in the release.
“SkySong is a place that welcomes and fosters innovation of all kinds, and Cigna’s innovative approach to providing health care at this facility is a perfect fit.”
Cigna Medical Group has 20 health care centers located throughout metro Phoenix and is one of the Valley’s largest multi-specialty group practices, according to the release.
Care is provided for nearly 2,500 patients at the Scottsdale center currently and the medical group plans to welcome more in the future.
