PHOENIX – A semitruck rollover crash closed a freeway northwest of downtown Phoenix all morning Monday and part of the afternoon, authorities said.
Eastbound U.S. 60/Grand Avenue was shut down between Happy Valley and Deer Valley roads around 3:15 a.m., the Arizona Department of Public Safety said.
Cleanup of the West Valley wreck was expected to take a good portion of the morning, the Arizona Department of Transportation said.
Traffic was directed to exit at Jomax Road and head south on 195th Avenue then east on Happy Valley Road to get back onto the highway.
Around 2 p.m., ADOT announced that the road was reopened.
