PHOENIX – The wait is over for diners missing Bluewater Grill’s seafood, sushi and cocktails.
Three months after closing its original location, the Phoenix restaurant and bar reopened Sunday on Bethany Home Road just west of 16th Street, in the former SanTan Brewing space.
The new Bluewater Grill is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday and Sunday, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday-Saturday. It’s closed Mondays.
Happy hour goes from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and noon to 5 p.m. Saturday-Sunday.
Phoenix is the only city outside of California with a Bluewater Grill.
The original Phoenix location debuted in 2009 near Camelback Road and 16th Street in a building notable for its eye-catching blue-and-white swordfish sign overlooking State Route 51.
A spokesperson for the Newport Beach-based restaurant told ABC15 in April that the Camelback Road property had been sold to apartment builders. Bluewater Grill ended its run there in June.
Construction is underway at the site, and the building has been demolished.
CORRECTION: Earlier versions of this story incorrectly said the new location was on Glendale Avenue.
