PHOENIX — Phoenix Police have arrested a 35-year-old man after a woman was found dead “with obvious signs of trauma” in her home Friday morning, authorities said.

Probable cause was developed to arrest Eddie Lauderdale on Saturday for the homicide of 41-year-old Sheronda Dyer, the Phoenix Police Department said in a press release.

Officers responded to a call about the incident which occurred near Buckeye Road and 59th Avenue just before 11 a.m., authorities said.

Police learned a witness stopped by the residence and found Dyer with signs of trauma, authorities said.

Lauderdale and Dyer have a child in common, authorities said.
