PHOENIX — An Arizona Department of Public Safety investigation into individuals trafficking large amounts of methamphetamine and fentanyl pills resulted in the arrest of three Valley residents last week, authorities said.
Mesa residents Michael Salazar, 41, and Dina Peralta, 50, as well as 37-year-old Robert Flores of Phoenix were arrested on numerous drug charges on Thursday, DPS said on Tuesday.
A residential search warrant resulted in the seizure of 87.6 pounds of methamphetamine and 4,450 fentanyl pills, along with a handgun and two vehicles, authorities said.
It is believed all three are career criminals, with Flores and Salazar both being documented gang members on probation, authorities said.
Peralta, meanwhile, was identified by authorities as a gang associate who had five outstanding felony warrants for her arrest from similar crimes.
All three face charges of possession of a narcotic drug, possession of a narcotic drug for sale, transportation of a dangerous drug for sale and illegally conducting an enterprise.
