PHOENIX — For the second consecutive week, fans headed to the Arizona Cardinals’ preseason game will likely encounter heavy rush hour traffic on Interstate 10 in metro Phoenix.
The Cardinals are scheduled to kick off against the Kansas City Chiefs at 5 p.m. at State Farm Stadium in Glendale.
Traffic is expected to be heavier on westbound I-10 through downtown Phoenix and west of Interstate 17, as well as on sections of the Loop 101 Agua Fria Freeway, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
Fans traveling to the game should leave early to account for the traffic. Stadium parking lots open at 1 p.m.
Drivers coming from the East Valley can use the northbound Loop 202 South Mountain Freeway to I-10 to get to the West Valley.
Fans could also use southbound and westbound Loop 101 west of I-17 to get to Glendale.
