PHOENIX — The body of a man was pulled out of Tempe Town Lake on Saturday morning after a search began for the missing person on Friday, authorities said.
The Tempe Fire Medical Rescue Dive team pulled the man, 35-year-old Aaron Lee Yazzi, from the water.
Police responded to the lake Friday evening about a call of a man who ran into the water and never resurfaced.
Following several dives by Tempe Fire Medical Rescue and no body found, the lack of visibility and storms moved operations into a second day.
The DPS Ranger also attempted to search the lake and its surroundings on Friday but were unsuccessful.
No additional information was made available.
