Outdoor leisure apparatus company moving USA headquarters to Chandler

PHOENIX — An outdoor leisure apparatus company plans to move its United States headquarters from Phoenix to Chandler in the fall.

Bestway, which specializes in above-ground pools, air mattresses, camping equipment and water sports equipment like kayaks, paddleboards and small boats, has been located at University Drive next to Interstate 10 and Sky Harbor Airport.

The move to a newly constructed 129,680-square-foot building on Queen Creek and McQueen roads will allow the company to expand its office space, warehouse and incorporate a new product showroom, according to a press release from the city.

It is also expected to be able to accommodate approximately 150 employees within three years.

“The Chandler area offers a large and growing workforce for our company to continue scaling and bring new products to the market,” Pat Fumagalli, Chairman and CSO of the company, said in the release.

Bestway, founded in 1994 in Shanghai, manufactures and sells thousands of products in more than 100 countries with headquarters around the world.

The first United States headquarters opened in Phoenix in 2010.

More than 16,000 people work for the company, which owns all of its product development centers and manufacturing factories, according to the release.

“We are thrilled to welcome another corporate headquarters to Chandler and appreciate Bestway’s significant investment in our community,” Chandler Mayor Kevin Hartke said in the release.
