PHOENIX– The Arizona Humane Society is offering free pet adoptions until Sunday to limit an overflow of animals in their shelters.
Through a partnership with Bissel Pet Foundation, the shelter waived adoption fees for available animals to reduce the number of animals in their shelters and to continue to bring new vulnerable animals in.
AHS has over 1,000 dogs, cats and other animals available for adoption through their shelters or AHS Foster Hero Homes, according to a press release.
Adoptions will be available at the two participating locations which includes the Nina Mason Pulliam Campus for Compassion located at 1521 W. Dobbins Road and PetSmart Scottsdale at 4380 N. Miller Road.
All of the animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped and current on their vaccinations, and adopters will receive a free bag of food and follow up veterinary exam at a VCA Animal Hospital.
