Evacuations lifted for Cornville Fire outside of Cottonwood

PHOENIX — Evacuation orders were lifted Monday in the Cornville Fire outside of Cottonwood in northern Arizona, authorities said.
InciWeb said the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office lifted evacuations, ordered Sunday, in the area east of Page Springs Road between Windmill Lane and the Oak Creek Vineyards.
The wildfire was reported just after noon Sunday and grew to approximately 1,200 acres as of 7 a.m. Monday.
No homes have been damaged but one outbuilding has been destroyed by the blaze, according to authorities.
Two DC-10s have been ordered to assist large air tankers and ground resources.
A total of 75 personnel are fighting the fire, according to InciWeb.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
No additional information was made immediately available at this time.
