PHOENIX — The Scottsdale Police Department on Tuesday announced the arrest of two more people linked to the looting at the Fashion Square mall last year.
Nicholas Dowd, 20, and Yolanda Rochel, 41, were arrested last week on felony charges related to their involvement in the May 30 and 31 vandalism in downtown Scottsdale.
An investigation led to identifying Dowd as a suspect who broke into the AT&T store.
He was booked and released on charges of burglary on April 16.
No stolen property was recovered from the incident.
The other suspect, Rochel, was identified through her attempts to sell items stolen from Montblanc.
She was arrested on April 16 on felony charges of theft and trafficking in stolen property.
Police recovered stolen property valued at $6,370.
Authorities have now arrested 57 people in connection to the night of vandalism and have returned over $241,000 worth of merchandise to the businesses, according to the release.
The Fashion Square closed after the incident and din’t reopen until June 10, with Urban Outfitters, the Apple Store and Neiman Marcus being among the stores that sustained damage.
Authorities say they are still investigating the case and following up on evidence, tips and information.
