PHOENIX – A West Valley school bus aide was arrested Wednesday for allegedly touching a passenger inappropriately, authorities said.

Marco Chinchilla, 66, was charged with sexual abuse and vulnerable adult abuse, the Peoria Police Department said Thursday in a press release.

Chinchilla, who lives in Sun City, was initially placed on administrative leave by the Peoria Unified School District for failing to put a seatbelt on a bus passenger on Feb. 17, police said.

District officials looking into the incident learned that Chinchilla allegedly touched a passenger in an inappropriate manner.

The district contacted the Peoria Police Department, which investigated the case and made the arrest.

No other details were made available.

Anybody with additional information related to the incident was asked to call the department at 623-773-8311.
