2 dead after wrong-way crash on Phoenix freeway ramp

PHOENIX – Two men are dead after a wrong-way collision last week on a Phoenix freeway ramp, authorities said Monday.

The head-on crash occurred around 8 p.m. Friday on the southbound Interstate 17 off-ramp at Greenway Road, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

The wrong-way driver, 38-year-old Marshall Wray, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle, 35-year-old Romsen Badalpour, was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. He died at the hospital, police said.

No other information was immediately available.
