US 60 in West Valley closed in both directions after serious wreck

PHOENIX – Grand Avenue (U.S. 60) in the West Valley was closed in both directions Thursday morning following a serious collision, according to authorities.
A vehicle rolled over after getting rear ended near Thompson Ranch Road around 9 a.m., the El Mirage Police Department said on social media.
The driver of one vehicle had to be extricated, and occupants of both vehicles were seriously injured, police said.
Grand was expected to be closed for several hours between Thompson Ranch and Primrose roads in El Mirage, police said.
Traffic was being diverted onto the access roads, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
