PHOENIX — Best Western announced last week that the hotel and resort chain broke ground on a new Vib location in Tempe.
Vib (pronounced “vibe”) is Best Western’s boutique brand and currently features four properties worldwide, with 16 more in the pipeline, according to a press release.
Vib Tempe will be located at the southeast corner of Farmer Avenue and Fifth Street.
The new Tempe location will also serve as Best Western’s corporate hotel, as the hospitality company’s global headquarters has been in Phoenix since 1966.
“I am particularly proud to bring one of our newest boutique offerings to our home state of Arizona,” Best Western president and CEO David Kong said in the release.
The 102-room property’s amenities will include a fitness center with interactive workouts, an outdoor pool, a multi-functional meeting space, and locally-sourced fresh food and beverage options.
Vib Tempe is scheduled to open in September 2021.
“We’re excited to bring our distinctive Vib brand to Arizona and join the thriving Tempe community, where creativity and ingenuity are celebrated around every corner,” Best Western senior VP and COO Ron Pohl said in the release.
