Police investigate west Phoenix shooting that left 1 dead, 1 injured

PHOENIX — Police have opened an investigation into a shooting that left one person dead and another injured on Phoenix’s west side on Friday.
The man who was killed was identified as 38-year-old Jorge Hernandez Trigueros, who was found inside of a store near the intersection of 83rd Avenue and Indian School Road, according to Phoenix police.
The other victim was identified as a woman in her 50s who suffered a non-life-threatening injury.
She told police that the suspect fired shots into the store as he was leaving around 7:00 p.m.
The suspect reportedly fled the scene in a silver sedan.
