Shooting at house party in north Phoenix leaves 1 dead, 1 injured

PHOENIX — One man is dead and another is injured after a shooting that took place in north Phoenix on Saturday morning.
The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. at a residence in the area of 28th Street and Greenway Road, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
Officers were responding to a call of a shooting that occurred during a house party.
Several people, including the suspect, fled the residence prior to the arrival of authorities, police said.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where he would later be pronounced dead.
While officers were still on scene of the incident, a second man with a gunshot wound arrived at a nearby hospital, according to authorities.
However, his injuries are not considered life-threatening, police said.
No other information was made immediately available.
The investigation is ongoing.
