PHOENIX – A discount grocery store chain will open two Arizona locations next month, the company announced Monday.
Aldi will open stores in Chandler and Goodyear on Nov. 5.
“We’re thrilled to continue expanding in the Southwest, and we take great pride in reaching this milestone as we open our first Arizona stores,” Tom Cindel, Aldi Director of Operations and Logistics, said in a press release.
The Chandler location will be near Alma School and Queen Creek roads, and the Goodyear store will be at Interstate 10 and Estrella Parkway.
Aldi offers a curated selection of seafood, cheeses, meats, produce, gluten-free foods, wine and other selections.
The store openings are expected to bring around 40 jobs to the Valley. Interested applicants can apply online.
The company, which originally opened on the East Coast, expanded to the Midwest and South. There are now about 2,000 stores in 37 states.
Over the summer, Aldi announced it would also open stores in Peoria and Gilbert, but dates for those locations have yet to be announced.
