Multiple overnight shootings in Phoenix leave 3 men dead

PHOENIX — Two shootings overnight in Phoenix left three men dead, one injured and one arrested as police continue to investigate both unrelated incidents.
The first, an argument between neighbors led to a shootout leaving one dead and one injured early on Sunday morning.
Police said at 1:49 a.m., officers found two gunshot victims near Pierce Street and 39th Avenue. Both were taken to the hospital where one of the two men was pronounced dead.
One suspect was taken into custody and is being interviewed by detectives.
The other man shot was reportedly suffering non-life threatening injuries.
According to authorities, all three men were familiar with one another prior to the incident.
The second, a fight between two roommates prompted a witness to call police at 4:47 a.m on Minton Avenue.
Upon arrival, police found two men with gunshot wounds. One was pronounced dead on the scene while the other was taken to the hospital where he were pronounced dead.
They were identified as 33- and 31-year-old males, according to police.
Police were expected to remain on the scene as detectives opened an ongoing investigation.
