Ladies in Headlights to host drive-in comedy shows in Chandler

Aug 2, 2020, 3:00 PM | Updated: 3:06 pm

PHOENIX — The performance group known as The Ladies is inviting Valley art lovers to some favorite locales in Chandler during the month of August for some socially-distanced comedy.

In the comfort and safety of their own car, people can view Marlene Strang and Leanne Schmidt poking fun at life’s routine moments using dance-comedy in a 15-minute drive-up performance they call an experience instead of a show.

The Ladies in the Headlights experience will be illuminated by car high-beams and accompanied by music broadcast through a radio station that attendees can tune to.

The performances will take place on August 7, 8, 14 and 15.

The Friday performances begin at 7:45 p.m. and 8:15 p.m., and the Saturday experiences begin at 7:45 p.m., 8:15 p.m. and 8:45 p.m.

Locations are revealed to ticket holders 24 hours prior.

People can reserve a parking spot by buying tickets online. The price is $19.99 per car.

Curbside food ordering is also available during the live experiences.

The two began performing together in 2017, and are each adjunct professors of dance.

We want to hear from you.
