Injury accident shuts down Interstate 10 south of Phoenix

PHOENIX – One person was seriously injured in a rollover accident early Monday that shut down a stretch of Interstate 10 south of Phoenix for almost 11 hours.
The 5:30 a.m. cement truck-SUV crash shut down eastbound lanes between Riggs Road and the Maricopa-Pinal county line, near the Gila River Bridge.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety said the truck driver had suffered serious injuries.

The Arizona Department of Transportation said the portion of the freeway reopened at about 4:15 p.m.
