PHOENIX — The last day to enjoy a tap brew from The Brass Tap in downtown Gilbert will be Monday as the restaurant begins renovations to a Creole-inspired concept change.

Owners announced on Friday via Facebook that the restaurant will be undergoing changes to turn The Brass Tap into Da’Bayou Creole Kitchen by early July.

Located near the corner of Vaughn Avenue and Gilbert Road, owners plan to transition the chain beer bar into a new original concept by bringing the bayou to the desert.

The Da’Bayou Creole Kitchen doesn’t have an official grand opening date yet, but owners have set a tentative date for early July, according to the statement.

The Brass Tap features 65 beers on tap and more than 150 craft beers from around the world.

The restaurant also has another location near Dobson Road and the Loop 202 in Mesa.
