PHOENIX — Taronis Fuels will be locating its corporate headquarters and advanced manufacturing operations in Peoria, the company announced on Monday.

Taronis Fuels, a clean technology company and a worldwide producer of renewable fuel products, will be creating up to 500 new jobs.

“A number of factors went into our decision, including Peoria’s pro-business culture, high quality of life and strong workforce,” Taronis Fuels CEO Scott Mahoney said in a press release.

“But one aspect that really stood out was the customer service and programs that were brought to us by Peoria’s Economic Development Services Department as well as their partnership with the Arizona Commerce Authority. They demonstrated a strong commitment to our success both in the short term and in the long term.”

Taronis’ corporate headquarters will hold approximately 50-75 jobs and be located near 83rd Avenue and Happy Valley Road.

As for the company’s advanced manufacturing site, it will have around 400 employees at its 89th Avenue and Cactus Road location.

“The City of Peoria is thrilled to welcome Taronis Fuels to our community,” Peoria Mayor Cathy Carlat said in the release.

“As a cutting-edge company that offers smarter technology solutions and head of household jobs, their advanced technologies are the perfect complement to the Peoria workforce.”
