PHOENIX — While the Phoenix Zoo technically remains closed due to the coronavirus outbreak, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy its offerings within the comfort of their own vehicles.
The Phoenix Zoo announced Thursday that for the rest of May on Fridays through Sundays, guests can drive through a guided, educational audio tour of the grounds between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The zoo had initially scheduled the tours to occur during the next two weekends only, but later decided to extend the schedule due to demand.
Tickets for the next two weekends are currently sold out.
General admission tickets are $65 per car and must be purchased online in advance.
A maximum of 600 tickets will be sold for each day’s tour, and vehicles must be in line no later than 1 p.m.
