Arizona coronavirus cases increase to 2,269, death toll at 64

PHOENIX — Arizona now has 2,269 reported positive tests for COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, and 64 deaths.
The number of cases in Arizona rose by 250 on Sunday, while 12 additional deaths were included in the report released by the Arizona Department of Health Services.
Of the reported tests, 2,181 came from private labs, while 88 came from Arizona State Public Health labs.
COVID-19 cases in Maricopa County, the state’s most-populous and hardest-hit county, increased by 155 to 1,326 on Sunday, according to the report.
A total of 31 deaths have occurred in Maricopa County, with 244 hospitalizations, according to the county.

Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey’s “Stay Home, Stay Healthy, Stay Connected” executive order to combat the spread of COVID-19 went into effect Tuesday at 5 p.m. and is active until at least the end of April.
Ducey announced additional guidance on Friday ordering salons, barber shops and other services to shut down at 5 p.m. on Saturday after initially being deemed essential in the executive order.
