Banner Health restricting visitor access at all locations

PHOENIX — Banner Health will no longer be allowing visitors into any of its locations due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the healthcare provider announced in a press release on Friday.
The restrictions are effective immediately and include ambulatory and outpatient locations such as urgent care, clinics, occupational health services locations, and imaging and surgery centers.
However, there are two exceptions that will still permit visitors to enter Banner Health hospitals.
Those exceptions include pediatric patients (under 18 years old), who can have one adult visitor with them, and laboring mothers, who may have one support person with them.
In addition to those exceptions at hospitals, all other Banner Health locations will allow one adult visitor with patients that have cognitive or physical disabilities or limitations that require support.
All visitors will be subject to a health screening at all Banner Health locations in order to ensure they are not showing signs or symptoms of respiratory illness.
