Goodyear to welcome Ferrero distribution center, new jobs by March
PHOENIX — Ferrero USA, Inc. is continuing its North American expansion with a newly constructed facility in the Valley.
By the middle of March, Goodyear will officially be home to a new Ferrero distribution center, according to an statement released online.
The 643,798 square foot building is located at 3600 Cotton Lane and will initially focus on distributing products such as Butterfinger, Baby Ruth and Crunch.
As time goes on, Ferrero projects that the facility will go on to distribute other Ferrero brands, including Ferrero Rocher, Nutella, Tic Tac and Kinder as well.
Within the first year of operation, Ferrero expects to add 50 new jobs to the local economy.
“Ferrero is investing in our presence and business in the U.S.,” said President and CEO of Ferrero North America Paul Chibe in the statement.
“We’re introducing new brands and innovations, hiring top talent, and opening state-of-the-art facilities like this new Goodyear distribution center, all of which will help us continue to fuel the confectionery category.”
Goodyear Mayor Georgia Lord is anticipating the positive economic effects of Ferrero’s new venture.
“Ferrero’s new location in our city helps to build a stronger community and provides job opportunities for our residents and the West Valley.”
Arizona now joins New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Illinois as states that have welcomed new Ferrero facilities in recent months.
