Free trolley rides to Cubs spring games offered from Tempe Marketplace

PHOENIX — Grab your glove and hat as the Chicago Cubs return to Mesa this week prior to spring training games starting on Feb. 22 at Sloan Park.

Getting to the game is once again easy this year as fans can park their car at Tempe Marketplace and hop on a free trolley ride over to the ballpark.

People can catch the trolley on the north side of The District near Thirsty Lion Gastropub & Grill and Kabuki Japanese Restaurant.

The trolley leaves every 30 minutes beginning at 11 a.m. for most games, making the trip to Sloan Park and back to Tempe Marketplace throughout and after each game.

Trolley departure times change on Mar. 11, 17 and 23 due to different first pitch times.

Fans will have plenty of chances to catch the Cubs before they head back to Chicago to start the regular season, with 17 home games taking place at Sloan Park.

Cubs games at Sloan Park will feature opponents like the local Arizona Diamondbacks, Los Angeles Dodgers, cross-town rival Chicago White Sox, and Milwaukee Brewers.

Whether or not the Cubs “fly the w” against their opponent, fans can take advantage of deals throughout the shopping complex simply by showing their same-day ticket stub.
