Apache Junction police offering reward in 2 convenience store thefts

PHOENIX — An East Valley police department is offering a $3,000 reward after two convenience stores were robbed last week.
Apache Junction police is asking for information that leads to the arrest of those responsible for robbing two Circle Ks on Friday morning.
A suspect armed with a handgun climbed over the counter and demanded money from the clerk at the Circle K near Superstition Boulevard and Idaho Road before driving away in a white Toyota Scion with custom rims.
When officers were responding to that call, police received a call of another armed robbery at a Circle K near Broadway Avenue and Delaware Drive, about three miles away from the other location.
Investigators believe the robberies were committed by the same individual or individuals.
