Democratic presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg returns to Phoenix

PHOENIX – Billionaire businessman and Democratic presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg planned to attend the opening of his Phoenix headquarters on Saturday, according to his campaign website.
An post online said the opening of the office would run from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The headquarters are downtown near Eighth and Roosevelt streets.
It will be his second visit to the Valley.
Bloomberg announced his run for the party’s nomination in late November and visited Phoenix shortly thereafter to file paperwork to be placed on the state primary ballot.
By December, the campaign had about 170 staffers across the country. Luis Acosta-Herrera was named director for Arizona.
Arizona’s March 17 presidential primary comes two weeks after Super Tuesday, when the field has historically been narrowed.
Sen. Elizabeth Warren also opened field offices in Phoenix and Tucson and she visited Tempe in July 2019 for a town hall.
