How to get a gift card with Snoop Dogg’s weird Dunkin’ sandwich

PHOENIX – Rapper Snoop Dogg has collaborated with Dunkin’ on a breakfast item like no other, and adventurous Valley diners can get a bonus if they give the Beyond D-O-Double G Sandwich a try at the right place and time.

Snoop’s menu remix, a plant-based Beyond Meat sausage patty with eggs and cheese on a sliced glazed doughnut, debuted at participating Dunkin’ locations nationwide this week and is available through Sunday.

And if you order up the rapper’s delight during a two-hour window Thursday morning, Dunkin’ will throw in a $5 gift card, but only at three metro Phoenix locations.

The gift cards will be offered from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., while supplies last, at the shops at Dobson and Elliot roads in Chandler, 16th Street and Bethany Home Road in Phoenix, and Estrella Parkway and Van Buren Street in Goodyear.

While the sausage patty is plant-based, the Beyond D-O-Double G Sandwich certainly isn’t a vegan product, with its cheese, eggs and whatever goes into a glazed doughnut.

It’s not Dunkin’s first foray into plant-based options. In November, the chain debuted a Beyond Sausage Sandwich, which comes on a more conventional English muffin with eggs and cheese.

That rollout also was accompanied by an ad campaign featuring Snoop Dogg, an early investor in Beyond Meat.
