PHOENIX — Holiday season has come to a close but one West Valley city isn’t letting it go quietly into the night.
The city of Glendale is hosting its annual Glendale Glitter and Glow light show that celebrates the end of the holiday season and the start of a new year on Saturday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The 1.6 million LED light show will feature colorful hot air balloons, music from several bands and other performances happening throughout the evening in downtown Glendale.
Admission to the show is free, as well as the shuttle that picks up guests from Glendale Community College.
There is also limited free street parking around downtown. Attendees can choose to pay $10 to park at the City Hall and Bank of America parking garage located at 5800 W. Glenn Drive.
Musical guests for this year’s show include Randy Altergott, Soul Power Band, People Who Could Fly, Pearl Ridge Duo, Sophie Dorsten, Blaine Long and Rosas Del Rey.
DJ Dangerous will also be spinning tracks throughout the night.
Community groups will have their performances on the E. Lowell Rogers Amphitheatre stage in Murphy Park.
