Arizona Science Center to host Snow Week after Christmas

PHOENIX — The Arizona Science Center will be letting it snow the week after Christmas.
From Dec. 26 to Jan. 1, the center will spread over 100 tons of snow across Heritage and Science Park at Monroe and Seventh streets.
Snow Week activities are included in general admission to the science center, which is $18 for adults and $13 for children ages 3 to 17 when purchased online.
Those willing to brave the cold will be able to make snow angels, build snowmen and sled starting each day at 9:30 a.m.

The first 50 children to arrive each day will receive a free beanie or gloves.
Each day of Snow Week features themed activities and crafts, including do-it-yourself ice cream and gingerbread houses.
The center will also celebrate its “Victoria the T. rex” exhibition with volcano crafts and a “shark versus dinosaur” costume contest.
To ring out the old year, organizers will hold a balloon drop at 2 p.m. on Dec. 31.
