Police: Woman left critically injured after stabbing in Phoenix home

PHOENIX — A woman has been left in extremely critical condition after being stabbed at a home in Phoenix on Saturday morning, according to authorities.
The incident occurred around 10:15 a.m. near Thunderbird Road and 40th Street.
Upon arrival, officers found the suspect barricaded inside the home and the woman standing outside.

Authorities say that they were able to get the suspect into custody following his removal from the home.
Police are continuing to investigate what led up to the stabbing.
The identities of the suspect and victim are not being disclosed at this time.
