Burger King drive-thru customer crashes into wall, 1 injured in Mesa

PHOENIX — Mesa Police say one person was injured when a man drove into a wall at Burger King near University Drive and Lindsay Road.
A person inside the Burger King was transported to the hospital with a leg injury, Mesa Police Public Information Officer Nik Rasheta told KTAR News 92.3 FM.
Employees said that the driver was asked to pull around the building and wait for his order after pulling into the drive-thru.
That was when the driver crashed into the restaurant.
Authorities said that the suspect was detained and that an investigation was underway.
There was no further information on the impairment status of the driver or on the extent of damages to the restaurant.
