PHOENIX – Food connoisseurs here in the Valley won’t have to travel very far to get delicious food, as a study conducted by WalletHub ranked Scottsdale as Arizona’s top foodie city.
While Scottsdale checks in as the 32nd-best city for foodies, it also ranks 27th when it comes to affordability.
A few other Arizona cities appeared on the list, too. Tucson is ranked at No. 37, while Tempe comes in ranked 40th on the list and Mesa is behind No. 51.
A foodie is someone who loves to chow down on gourmet dining. It’s not just limited to eating though, as a foodie also enjoys the emotional sensation that comes with trying different cuisines.
While eating a delicious plate of food satisfies your stomach, your wallet might have different feelings about eating out.
The study notes that restaurant prices rose 3.2% in America between July 2018 and July 2019.
Dining out can be expensive, but cooking at home can be just as pricey as well depending on the type and quality of ingredients.
The survey ranked Portland; New York, NY; and Miami as the top-three foodie cities in America.
WalletHub came to these findings by comparing 182 cities in the U.S. including the two most populate cities in each state. The study focused on affordability, diversity, accessibility, and quality.
