PHOENIX – Vintage music fanatics will want to mark their calendars for Oct. 12.

Why is that date significant? It is Cassette Store Day that will take place in over 100 music stores across the U.S, including right here in Arizona.

There will be multiple stores in Arizona participating in the event, including Uncle Aldo’s Attic between Recker Road and McKellips Road, Stinkweeds on Camelback Road, and Weird Kid Records on Florence Boulevard in Casa Grande.

This will be Uncle Aldo’s Attic’s first time participating in Cassette Store Day, and customers can expect to find a wide variety of cassettes that include Prince and INXS.

They will also be offering a 25% discount to customers.

Weird Kid Records will be offering a variety of activities on Saturday that include giveaways, raffles, and cassette exchanges.

The celebration originated in the United Kingdom in 2013 in hopes of bringing awareness to the impact that vintage music had on the industry.
