Sweet! Candy-themed art exhibit coming to Scottsdale in October
PHOENIX — A new exhibit in Scottsdale aims to make your fall a little sweeter.
The Candytopia interactive art display will feature more than a dozen rooms with art installations to the Scottsdale Quarter near Greenway Parkway and Scottsdale Road.
The exhibit, opening Oct. 11, will include a pit filled with over 250,000 foam “marshmallows,” candy-covered sea creature sculptures and a rainbow room with confetti explosions.
The attraction first opened in Santa Monica, California, last year and has traveled to other cities, including New York, Minneapolis and Atlanta.
The exhibit was created by candy artist Jackie Sorkin of the TV show “Candy Queen.”
Tickets go on sale Tuesday. Admission is $28 for adults, $20 for kids ages 4-12 and free for those under 3.
