So you want to run for office? The Think Tank tells you what it takes
Beth Meyer is president and CEO of Leading for Change, a nonprofit that, among other things, trains prospective candidates for public office.
Our topic concerns what, exactly, does it take to run for office? What should prospective candidates know? What should they be prepared for?
We discuss this with Beth and two elected officials who are graduates of her program:
Lorenzo Sierra is a member of the Arizona House of Representatives serving District 19. He previously served on the Avondale City Council.
Brian Garcia is vice chair of the Tempe Union School Board, who is believed to be the first Native American to serve on this board.
The Think Tank airs on KTAR News 92.3 FM on Sunday at 1-2 p.m. and repeats at 9-10 p.m.
Podcasts are available after each show is broadcast.
