An exterminator was stung more than 40 times by bees Wednesday while trying to remove a hive, first responders in southern Arizona said.
The Green Valley Fire Department said bees got inside the worker’s suit. They attacked the unidentified man on his face, head and neck.
A fire department crew rescued the man, in his 50s. He was taken to a hospital to be evaluated.

Authorities shut down a section of the street for about an hour because of the bees’ aggressive behavior.
Green Valley is about 26 miles south of Tucson.
The bee removal company told the fire crew it would finish the job Thursday.
