PHOENIX — A Scottsdale-based beer garden will soon expand to Phoenix.
Brat Haus’s newest location near 16th Street and Bethany Home Road could open by the end of the month.
The Phoenix location doesn’t yet have a hard opening date because it needs its liquor license approved, according to a post on its Facebook page.
The Phoenix spot will be a condensed version of the Scottsdale location, which opened in 2012, according to a press release.
The restaurant will have an “adult-casual” approach, the release said.
“My initial vision for Brat Haus was fit to the quick service model and while Scottsdale has flourished without it, we’re excited to try something different with Phoenix,” Dave Andrea, Brat House’s owner, said. “Our plan is to expand aggressively after this opening and we already have eyes on other communities in the Valley where we want to bring this to life.”
Steve Stone, a former Major League Baseball player and current Chicago White Sox broadcaster, is a partner for the Phoenix eatery.
“Brat Haus has everything that makes a concept successful, especially from a national perspective,” said Stone. “Its quality house-made dishes are served quickly and by friendly staff.
“With my guidance and Brat Haus’ brand, this partnership is a perfect fit.”
