PHOENIX – A magazine that specializes in talk radio rated the hosts of two KTAR News 92.3 FM programs among the 100 most important figures in the industry.

Mac & Gaydos ranked No. 84 and Chad Benson checked in at No. 88 on the Talkers Magazine 2019 Heavy Hundred, which was released Tuesday.

Mac Watson and Larry Gaydos, who last year celebrated their 10th anniversary of entertaining while informing on KTAR News, can be heard from 2-6 p.m. weekdays.

The duo held the same ranking in the 2018 Heavy Hundred.

The Chad Benson Show airs weeknights on KTAR News from 6-9 p.m. Benson, who also hosts a nationally syndicated Radio America show, moved up three spots after being ranked No. 91 last year.

Personal finance guru Dave Ramsey, whose nationally syndicated show is part of KTAR News’ daily lineup from noon-2 p.m., is No. 3 on this year’s list.

We want to hear from you.
