PHOENIX — Need to show out-of-town family that Arizona is more than cacti and dust storms?
A store inside Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport will now sell Arizona beer, wine and spirits for travelers to take home.
The AZCentral.com store in Terminal 4 has several selections from local breweries and wineries. Options include:
Beer: SanTan Brewing Co., Huss Brewing Co., College Street Brewhouse and Grand Canyon Brewing Co.
Wines: Alcantara Vineyards’ pinot grigio, Flying Leap Vineyards’ Union de Tres Rojos, Fiddlebender, On the Edge and Bouquet.
Customers are not allowed to drink their to-go purchases in the airport or on the airplane.
O.H.S.O. Brewery, which operates in Terminal 2, offers beer on taps and packs of spirits to-go. Here, customers are allowed to drink; however, step out of the restaurant and back onto the airport’s decorated carpeting, and the drink must go or be stowed.
It’s one of several restaurants around the airport that offers alcohol on-location.
Neither of these shops are duty-free. Only passengers on international flights are allowed to buy alcohol at duty-free stores.
